As a settler on colonized land, I wish to acknowledge the privilege I hold in being able to live, work and make art happen on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Anishinaabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the Huron-Wendat Nation. This land is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Tkarón:to (from the Kanienʼkehá꞉ka (Mohawk) word meaning "where there are trees standing in the water") is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit and the Williams Treaties.
